About Ryan
Ryan Collins is a Pop/R&B singer-songwriter hailing from the DMV. Her unique sound lives at the musical crossroads where India.Arie, Katy Perry, Maroon 5, and Chaka Khan meet. A graduate of Berklee College of Music, Ryan is currently focused on creating a well-rounded career for herself, drawing on her training in Music Business, Songwriting, and Performance. Ryan is steadily increasing her own catalogue while also trying to enlarge #teamRyanCollins and break herself into an arena occupied by today's heavy hitters like James Fauntleroy and Stacy Barthe. To quote a fan, “Seeing Ryan Collins perform is an experience. Not only does her rich and sweet tone sing you into a daydream, but her stage presence captivates you the moment she steps foot on the stage.”
Born and raised in Lanham, MD, Ryan got her start singing in various children’s choirs in church. In time, she discovered the uniqueness of her own voice as a solo performer. “I feel like I found my voice honestly sitting in my room listening to popular music. I would just simply hear something and then try to imitate it; the rest is history.” She didn’t step until her own until she was accepted to a performing arts middle school. When Ryan was 12, she began classical music training and then went on to attend the Suitland High School for the Performing Arts. Ryan became the leading voice in her class and also began directing the school’s gospel choir. In her senior year, Ryan was the only student accepted into the prestigious Berklee College of Music.
